Personal life Yount married Elizabeth Reybold, the daughter of Eugene Reybold, who rose to become a lieutenant general and the Chief of Engineers. Her brother Franklin B. Reybold, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy with the class of 1935. They had a daughter, Margaret. Yount died in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on 28 November 1984, and was buried in West Point Cemetery.
