Papa Daniel was a Nigerian association football player.
Papa Daniel Mustapha (born 1 January 2002) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Slovenian PrvaLiga club Celje and the Nigeria national team.
Club career Papa Daniel has played for Turkish club Adanaspor during the 2020–21 season. In 2025, he joined Slovenian PrvaLiga club Celje, with whom he won the 2025–26 league title.
International career In March 2025, Papa Daniel was named in Nigeria's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe by head coach Éric Chelle. He made his senior debut for Nigeria during the 2025 Unity Cup tournament.
