About Olateru Olagbegi I

Olagbegi Atanneye I was the Olowo of Owo, the traditional ruler of the Owo Kingdom in present-day Ondo State, Nigeria. He reigned from 1913 until his death in 1938.

According to historical accounts of the Owo monarchy, Olagbegi Atanneye I belonged to the Olagbegi royal dynasty. He was a son of Olagbegi Atanneye II and a brother of Ajike Ogunoye. During his reign, the kingdom continued to function under the British colonial administration while preserving the traditional institutions of the Owo monarchy.

He died in 1938 and was succeeded by his son, Olagbegi Atanneye II.
