About Nya Hayman
Nya Hayman was a weightlifter.
Nya Phebe Hayman (born 14 May 2005) is an Australian weightlifter.
Hayman won a bronze medal in the women's 69kg weightlifting event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, which was the first medal to be won by the Australian women's weightlifting team at the 2026 Games.
In 2019, she joined her local CrossFit gym. She moved up to the 121kg which she successfully completed on her second attempt.
Although Hayman was unable to complete a 124kg lift, she was still able to secure a bronze medal which was Australia’s first weightlifting medal for the 2026 Games after Brenna Kean and Kiana Elliott were unable to win a medal in their earlier attempts in their respective events.
