Jazeel Khamala (born August 13, 2004), known professionally as Nimstarr, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He gained recgonition in the early 2020s while posting about his songs on the social platform TikTok, where he has over 200,000 followers. He is best known for his songs "Nikes" and "Deja Vu". He is also known for his features on the songs "Wet Dreams" with Odetari, and "Heart Racing", with Riovaz and Kanii.

Early life Jazeel Khamala was born on August 13, 2004, in Douglasville, Georgia. He stayed near the Atlanta metropolitan area while growing up.

Career Khamala begin creating music in 2020, at the age of 16. He self-released his first single "Lemonade", featuring Serb, in November that same year. Khamala made his "nimstarr" TikTok account shortly after his 17th birthday, and began promoting his songs on the app. Khamala released his now breakthrough single "Nikes", featuring Kid Toni, in February 2021, which was his second official release. The song exploded in popularity after Khamala's videos on TikTok began reaching an audience.

After releasing singles through March to June, he released his first collaboration with Riovaz, on the song "Drowning", in August 2021. In May 2023, Khamala came together with Riovaz once again, this time adding Kanii, and together they made the song "Heart Racing". This song later led to a collaborative extended play (EP) between the three, titled The Heart Racers, in 2024.

In June 2023, Khamala released a song with close friend Odetari, titled "Wet Dreams". This song would become his most popular appearance, gaining over 124 million streams on Spotify as of July 2026.

In August 2025, Khamala released his debut mixtape, PARTY 'TIL YOU #DIE. Later that year in December, he released his debut studio album, The Snow Leopard's After Party.

Musical style Khamala's music draws primarily from bedroom pop and hip-hop, while getting influences from electronic music and hyperpop from his collaborators. Khamala has stated Frank Ocean and The Weeknd as some of his musical influences, combining emotional and love-based songwriting with up-beat high-tempo production influenced by their work.
