His productions — created in both English and Bangla — cover travel, history, culture, food, and the stories of people from destinations around the world. Education Nadir was born in Dinajpur in northern Bangladesh. His father worked as a public-sector dental surgeon, which required the family to relocate frequently during Nadir's childhood. The family eventually settled in Dhaka, where he completed his O and A Levels at an English-medium school. In 2011, he moved to the United States for higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Oklahoma State University and pursuing further studies in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree, Nadir participated in multiple international study abroad programs through Oklahoma State University. His experiences included a six-month semester abroad in Iceland, where he studied while immersing himself in Icelandic culture and society .

Nadir was also extensively involved in student activism during his time at Oklahoma State University. He helped lead efforts to improve the university’s sexual violence prevention education policies and advocated for fair labor practices by encouraging the university to ensure that its officially licensed apparel was not sourced from sweatshops overseas .

While pursuing his graduate studies, Nadir worked in a computational research laboratory focusing on data science. He was the first author of a peer-reviewed study published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, which examined motor recovery following stroke and contributed to research on rehabilitation outcomes.

He grew up mostly in Bangladesh and spent about ten years in the United States, living in Hawaii, California, and Oklahoma. Since 2020, he has been a full-time digital nomad — living out of two backpacks and traveling the world continuously while documenting his travels for his audience.

Career

Beginnings (2016–2019) Nadir began making travel videos in 2016, initially as a hobby to document his travels for friends and family. For the first four years, his YouTube channel had fewer than 100 subscribers. Despite the slow growth, he continued producing content driven by a passion for filmmaking and storytelling. During this period, he undertook multiple extended backpacking trips across Europe, Latin America and Asia, building the travel experience that would later define his content.

Breakthrough (2020–present)

During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Nadir focused on improving his filmmaking and his productions subsequently went viral, with one notable early video about visa-free countries available to Bangladeshi passport holders gaining widespread attention and rapidly expanding his audience. After achieving his breakthrough, he transitioned to traveling and filming full-time.

Since then, the Nadir On The Go brand has grown into a multi-platform, bilingual operation with a dedicated team. While Nadir remains responsible for scripting, directing filming at destinations, and primarily editing videos, the wider team supports largely with post-production work. The brand has produced thousands of videos for both international English-speaking and Bangla-speaking audiences. News channels in Bangladesh , Albania , Romania , and beyond have featured him and in 2025 he did an extended video about his journey on the Malaysian award-winning show Studio Sembang with Amelia Henderson.

Personal life Growing up, Nadir traveled extensively within Bangladesh and across neighboring countries with his parents and older sister. He has cited his parents as one of his biggest inspirations for traveling. His mother was frequently featured in his earlier content across his social media platform and passed away in 2024.
