Naama Barkai

Naama Barkai is an Israeli systems biologist and professor for Molecular Genetics and Physics of Complex Systems at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, and a member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).

Education and career

In 1995, Barkai earned a PhD summa cum laude in theoretical physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, on the statistical mechanisms of learning. Barkai pursued a post-doc in the group of Stanislas Leibler at Princeton University, where she worked on theoretical analysis of biochemical networks.
