Life and career Redondo was born in Miami, Florida to Cuban American parents. He graduated from the University of Florida where he obtained a degree in finance. Redondo also attended Florida State University where he obtained his Juris Doctor. Redondo is Catholic and resides in Miami, FL.
On December 27, 2024, Redondo married Ukrainian refugee Alina Yermolova. The couple resides in Miami, Florida.
On June 30, 2025, all 22 members of the House GOP freshman class voted for Redondo to serve as Speaker after the 2030 elections.
