Career
Syn was educated at University of California, Berkeley where she obtained a BS in Nutritional Science Physiology and Metabolism. She obtained a Master of Science in human nutrition from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Syn is a Health Advisory Board Member of Forbes.
Syn has written about the benefits of including limited amounts of animal-based protein in the context of a plant-based diet. She has argued that meat should be treated like a condiment, not as a main dish.
