Mercy Manci (born 28 September 1955) is a Xhosa sangoma and HIV activist from South Africa. She has participated and presented at conferences in a.o. Cameroon, Nigeria, and Italy.

Early life Mercy Manci was born in the small village of Hlwahlwazi, Eastern Cape, South Africa in 1955. She was the firstborn of a nine children. At birth she was covered with a white substance, which her mother called a "net", which indicated that she was a special child.
