Markas Šilkūnas

Markas Šilkūnas (born 1 January 2009) is a Lithuanian racing driver who competes for Jenzer Motorsport in the Formula 4 CEZ Championship.

Personal life Šilkūnas is the brother of fellow racing driver Vanesa Šilkūnaitė.

Career Karting (2019–2026) Šilkūnas began karting in 2019, finishing runner-up in the 60 Mini category of the Lithuanian Karting Championship. In 2020, Šilkūnas finished runner-up in the RMC Baltic Championship in Micro Max, before winning the Lithuanian title in 60 Mini the following year. During 2021, Šilkūnas also raced extensively in international competitions, finishing sixth in the RMC International Trophy and the RMC Grand Finals.

Moving up to junior karts in 2022, Šilkūnas finished ninth in the Andrea Margutti Trophy and represented Lithuania in the FIA Motorsport Games Karting Sprint Cup. In 2023, Šilkūnas won the Lithuanian title in OK-J, as well as finishing third in the Karting Academy Trophy. Stepping up to senior karts in 2024, Šilkūnas finished runner-up in the Champions of the Future Academy Program in OK-N and took a gold medal in the FIA Motorsport Games Karting Sprint Cup, representing Lithuania. The following year, Šilkūnas won the Champions of the Future Academy Program title, as well as competing in OK in Europe with VDK Racing and Tony Kart Racing Team. In early 2026, Šilkūnas won the first edition of the Champions of the Future Academy Program Macau in OK-N.

Formula 4 (2026) For the rest of the winter of 2026, Šilkūnas joined Jenzer Motorsport to compete in the Formula Winter Series, before continuing with them to compete in the Formula 4 CEZ Championship. In the former, Šilkūnas took a best result of 12th four times in the five-round season en route to a 33rd-place points finish.
