In August 2008, Morrison received recognition for her achievements by Dave Reichert, a member of the United States House of Representatives from Washington's 8th congressional district. After her death, the Morrison family began the annual Marin Morrison Award, and established a scholarship foundation in her name. A documentary film called Touch the Wall — The Marin Morrison Story was released in 2013.
