Marcelo Alejandro Penta (born 26 August 1985) is a retired Argentine professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Career Born in Las Heras, Mendoza, Marcelo Penta began his professional football career with Newell's Old Boys in the Argentine Primera División. In order to gain regular playing time, he was loaned to Chacarita Juniors in July 2007. After returning to Newell's, he did not make any first-team appearances and moved to Greece in July 2009 to continue his professional career.
