Biography Lee was born on October 23, 1930
In 1949, he fled from North Korea to South Korea. He graduated from that year. In 1953, he graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Korean Language and Literature at Seoul National University (SNU).
He died in Seoul on February 19, 2020 at the age of 89 (90 in Korean age).
