Joe Tache

Joe Tache is a youth worker, community organizer, and 2026 candidate for United States Senate in Massachusetts.

Career Tache began attending protests in 2014 following the killing of Michael Brown. Tache stated, “I felt so empowered being alongside thousands of other people who had the same values and were demanding the same justice that I was.”

Tache attended Northeastern University, studying business from 2013 to 2018. In 2016, Tache and his classmate, Prasanna Rajasekaran, created the podcast, Colored: Crack Cocaine, the War on Drugs and the Making of Post-Civil Rights America.

During his senior year of college, Tache became a community organizer for the Party for Socialism and Liberation. In the PSL, prior to running for senate, Tache focused his advocacy on causes such as affordable housing, accessible education, and gentrification prevention. He helped the party expand throughout Massachusetts.

In 2023, Tache joined Cambridge community organizers in seeking justice from the Cambridge Police Department for the killing of Sayed Faisal.

After graduating from Northeastern, Tache became a GED Instructor and mentor for first-generation college students, until he was laid off in 2020, along with a third of his colleagues, after an attempt to unionize their workplace. Tache then led an extracurricular program for teens centered on worker's rights. From 2022 to 2024, Tache helped run the Boston Liberation Center.

Senate campaign Tache announced his intent to run for U.S. Senate with the Party for Socialism and Liberation on November 1, 2025.

On January 21, 2026, Tache led a rally of hundreds people in freezing temperatures to protest ICE. Tache regularly speaks at actions against ICE around Boston, emphasizing the importance of drawing parallels between ICE and police terror. Tache co-organized a rally protesting the killing of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero by ICE that occurred in Biddeford, Maine on July 13, 2026.

On March 5, 2026, Tache joined a protest opposing U.S. Military involvement in Iran. Tache has spoken at rallies in favor of the liberation of Palestinians from genocide.

Tache's senate campaign manager is Ximena Hasbach.

According to The Scope, as of June 30, 2026, "Tache raised $96,092 for his Senate campaign. The top three organizations contributing to Tache's principal campaign committee were Google parent company Alphabet Inc, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston Public Schools."
