About Jean-Nicolas Leroy
Jean-Nicolas Leroy, who took the name Jean-Nicolas Moulin during the French Revolution ( 1734, Urville-Hague; died 23 March 1794, Paris), was a French postal official and revolutionary officeholder from the Manche. Commander of the National Guard at Cherbourg and, from October 1792, director of the town's letter post, he was, according to the local historiography, the only resident of Cherbourg executed during the Reign of Terror.
