Janina Pohl-Mizerska (5 August 1909 – 3 November 1999) was a Polish cryptographer, nurse, medic in the Warsaw Uprising.
Life and career Janina, née Pohl, was born on August 5, 1909, in Poznan. Here she graduated from the Sacred Heart of Jesus Gymnasium, and then from the Higher School of Nurses and Hygienists of the Poznański Czerwony Krzyż (Poznan's Red Cross). After being appointed as a certified nurse, she worked at on orthopedic hospital in Swarzędz near Poznan, and in 1933 was drafted into the army and sent to work in military district hospitals in Torun and Krakow.
