Janice Radway (born January 29, 1949) is an American literary and cultural studies scholar. She is known for her scholarship on the history of reading culture.
Education Radway holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University (1971) and a Master of Arts from Stony Brook University (1972).
Career Radway taught in the American Civilization Department at the University of Pennsylvania.
From 1998 to 1999, she served as president of the American Studies Association. She has served as an editor of its journal, American Quarterly.
In 2009, she received an honorary doctorate from Uppsala University.
