Jan Uddenfeldt is a Swedish telecommunications engineer and former technology executive at Ericsson and Sony Ericsson. He received his PhD in 1973 from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He joined Ericsson in 1978 and later became senior vice president of the company. He later co-founded Air5. He has been a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences since 1989 and is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Career
Uddenfeldt joined Ericsson in 1978 and later held senior technology and research positions within the company. He later served as chief technology officer of Sony Ericsson. He subsequently co-founded Air5. His academic work also included research on teletransmission. NEC C&C Prize (2014) IVA Gold Medal TechAmerica Innovator Award for telecommunications equipment (2009) Wireless Hall of Fame (2014)
