Harvey G. Stenger is an American educator and academic administrator, who served as the seventh president of Binghamton University from 2012-2025. He announced in October 2024 that he would retire at the end of the academic year.
Background and education Harvey G. Stenger is a native of upstate New York. He received his B.S. from Cornell University in chemical engineering in 1979 and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1983. While at Cornell, he joined Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.
