Ahn is professor of computer science and engineering at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, Arizona State University. He is the founder of the university's Security Engineering for Future Computing laboratory and served as its first director. 2007: Senior Member of the Association for Computing Machinery 2013: Arizona State University Most Outstanding Research Award 2015: ACM Distinguished Member 2025: ACM Fellow "for contributions to the foundations and practical applications of information and systems security, including formal models and policy frameworks"
