Eveleen O'Brien MD (1901 – 31 July 1981) was an Irish psychiatrist who worked in Irish asylum medicine, and cared for patients suffering from epilepsy. She also explored the crossover between neurology and psychiatry. sometimes recorded as Evelyn O'Brien, was born in 1901 in Tubbercurry, County Sligo as the fourth child of six in a Catholic family. Her mother was Mary Josephine Ahearne, and her father was Thomas O’Brien.
