Derrin Ebert

Derrin Lee Ebert (born August 21, 1976) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has also been a coach in MLB and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) and is a current MiLB Salt Lake City Bees Pitching Coach.

Amateur career Ebert was born in Anaheim, California. He attended Hesperia High School in Hesperia, California. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 18th round (511th overall) in the 1994 Major League Baseball draft.

Professional career After being drafted, Ebert played in the Braves' minor league system for five seasons before making his major league debut on April 6, 1999, against the Philadelphia Phillies. He made two more appearances in April before being sent down to the Triple-A Richmond Braves. Ebert returned to Atlanta in September where he made two last MLB appearances. He coached in the same capacity for their rookie Billings Mustangs (2014–15) and Class A Dayton Dragons (2016–17). He returned to Billings as pitching coach in 2019. In 2020, he became manager of the rookie Greeneville Reds.
