Sir David John Verey CBE (born 1950) is an English banker and philanthropist.
Early life Verey was born on 8 December 1950. He went to school at Eton College and later received a Master of Arts degree in English from Trinity College, Cambridge.
Career He started his career in finance at Lazard in 1972. In 1983 he was appointed to its board of directors. He has been on the board of directors of the Daily Mail and General Trust, Sofina and Bank Gutmann He is also a member of the Trinity, Cambridge Finance Committee and the Cambridge University Library Visiting Committee.
