He is founder and medical director of Cockerell Dermatopathology in Dallas, Texas, Chair of the Lake Granbury Dermatology Residency program, former president and secretary-treasurer of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and former director of the Division of Dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
