Achievements Chen is the inventor of Ultrasonication-Assisted Spray Ionization (UASI), as well as Contactless Atmospheric Pressure Ionization (Contactless API), and one of the inventors of the surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization (SALDI) techniques for mass spectrometric analysis of chemical molecules.
