Ceri Warnock

Ceri Warnock is a British-born New Zealand environmental lawyer and professor in the School of Law at the Auckland University of Technology.

Academic career Warnock has an LLB from Cardiff University and an LLM from the University of Auckland. She graduated from the University of Oxford with a DPhil.

Before moving to New Zealand, Warnock practiced as a barrister in England and Wales. She was promoted to full professor with effect from 1 February 2019.

Warnock moved to Auckland University of Technology in 2026. It was announced in August 2026 that she would replace Professor Khylee Quince as Dean of the Law School, effective 28 September 2026, following the conclusion of Professor Quince's five year term.

Warnock was awarded the 2013 international Research Fellowship by the New Zealand Law Foundation.
