Brian Hopper

Brian Hopper (born 3 January 1943) is an English guitarist and saxophonist. He is the older brother of the late bassist Hugh Hopper.

Career

The Wilde Flowers and Soft Machine Brian Hopper (second from left) as part of The Wilde Flowers in 1966With his brother Hugh, he was a member in the early Canterbury scene band Wilde Flowers, and was the only constant member throughout its three year run. In 1968, he recorded several tracks with Dave Lawrence, John Lawrence and Dave Smith under the name Zobe, which were eventually released on CD featuring Wilde Flowers recordings in 1995. During Hopper's career in agriculture, he travelled Africa, Central America and Far East, and lived in China for two years. Brian Hopper & Robert Fenner
