Bolaji Robert

Bolaji Kayode Robert is a Nigerian businessperson and politician, and currently serves as a commissioner in Lagos State, Nigeria.

He previously served as the executive chairman of the Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area of Lagos State between 2011 and 2015.

He currently serves as the commissioner of local government and community affairs of Lagos State, a position he has held since 2023 after being appointed by the executive governor of Lagos State.

Bolaji Robert was awarded the award of Local Government Chairman Award for the year 2012.

Early Life and Education Mr Kayode Robert attended Awori Anglican Comprehensive High School, Ojo, Lagos State, for his secondary education. He later obtained a Bachelor of Science (Education) in Political Science in 2010 from the University of Ado-Ekiti now known as Ekiti State University. He later completed executive education programmes, including the Senior Executive Course (SEC 45) at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.

Career Bolaji Kayode Robert began his career in the private sector before entering public office. He served as Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area , Lagos State, from 2011 to 2015. In 2023, he was appointed Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development in Lagos State after previously serving as Special Adviser in the same ministry.

Political career Bolaji Kayode Robert is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He served as Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA) from 2011 to 2015. Following his tenure as council chairman, he served as Special Adviser on Local Government and Community Affairs to the Governor of Lagos State. In 2023, he was appointed Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and was confirmed by the Lagos State House of Assembly

Community impacts Bolaji Kayode Robert has been associated with community development initiatives in Lagos State. During his tenure as Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, the council implemented projects relating to education, youth development, healthcare, infrastructure, environmental management, and poverty alleviation. As Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, he has overseen activities related to local government administration.

Award Mr Robert was awarded the award of Local Government Chairman Award for the year 2012.
