Baiuca

Alejandro Guillán Castaño (born 1990 in Catoira), known artistically as Baiuca, is a Spanish and Galician musician. He used the stage name Alex Casanova until 2017, at which point he left behind the pop music style to innovate with a mixture of electronic music and Galician traditional music. This resulted in a style that some call folktronica. He currently resides in Madrid.

Career Baiuca began his musical trajectory as part of the group Alex Casanova, an electronic pop band in which he explored sounds closer to synth-pop. However, in 2017 Alejandro Guillán decided to go on a solo project that would allow him to connect more deeply with his Galician identity. He has managed to take his music to international stages, participating in renowned festivals such as WOMAD, Sónar, and other events in Europe and Latin America.
